Account Setup

Getting started with isthisthing.online takes under a minute. You can sign up with email or use an OAuth provider.

Signing up with email​

  1. Go to isthisthing.online and click Get Started.
  2. Enter your email address and a password.
  3. Optionally provide your name.
  4. Click Sign Up.

After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email. Click the link inside to verify your address. The link expires after 24 hours.

If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. You can resend the verification email from the app — there's a 5-minute cooldown between resends.

Signing up with OAuth​

Skip the password and sign up with your existing account:

  • Google — Click Continue with Google and authorize the app.
  • GitHub — Click Continue with GitHub and authorize the app.
  • Apple — Click Continue with Apple and authorize the app.

OAuth accounts are linked automatically. No separate password needed.

Logging in​

Go to app.isthisthing.online and sign in with your email and password, or use Google, GitHub, or Apple.

Profile settings​

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Update your name or avatar.
  4. Click Save.

Changing your password​

  1. Go to Account.
  2. Click Change Password.
  3. Enter your current password and the new password.
  4. Click Save.

Changing your password signs you out on all other browsers and devices. Those sessions must sign in again with the new password. If you notice suspicious activity, change your password to revoke any previously issued sessions.

Resetting a forgotten password​

  1. On the login page, click Forgot Password.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Check your inbox for a reset link (valid for 1 hour).
  4. Click the link and set a new password.

Resetting your password also revokes all existing sessions on every browser and device — sign in again with the new password everywhere.

There's a 5-minute cooldown between reset requests for the same email.

Managing workspaces​

After signing in, your personal workspace is ready. To view all your workspaces:

  1. Click the workspace selector in the top-left corner.
  2. Select Manage Workspaces.
  3. From here you can switch, create, or leave workspaces.

Deleting your account​

You can permanently delete your account from the mobile app or the web dashboard:

Mobile

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Review the warning — deleting your account removes your Workspaces and every Monitor, Incident, Status Page and Integration inside them. This action cannot be undone.
  4. Confirm to delete.

Web

  1. Open Account (click your avatar in the top-right corner, then Account).
  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
  3. Click Delete Account and confirm in the dialog.

Before you can delete, active subscriptions must be resolved:

  • Mobile (App Store / Google Play) — cancel the subscription in the app store first, then return to the app and delete your account.
  • Web (Polar) — subscriptions are revoked automatically during deletion.
