Status Page Designer

The Status Page Designer is a split-pane editor where you configure your status page on the left and see a live preview on the right.

Getting started

  1. Go to Status Pages in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Status Page (or select an existing one and click Edit).
  3. The designer opens with two tabs: Settings and Components.

Settings tab

The Settings tab controls the overall appearance and behavior of your status page.

General

SettingDescription
NameTitle of your status page.
SlugURL-friendly identifier. Appears in the status page URL.
DescriptionShort description shown below the title.
PublicToggle to make the page visible to anyone.

Privacy

Making a page private (unchecking Make this status page public) hides it from the public URL. Visitors who reach a private page are shown an access screen where they can:

  • Enter the access password you set, or
  • Sign in with an isthisthing.online account that is a member of the page's workspace.

Workspace members can always view a private page while signed in. Private pages work the same way on a custom domain.

SettingDescription
Access PasswordPrivate status pages always require an access password. Use Set new password to renew it at any time without entering the old one. Making the page public clears the password.

Branding

SettingDescription
Logo URLURL to an image displayed in the page header.
Brand ColorPrimary accent color (hex value).
Contact EmailEmail shown to visitors for support inquiries.

Linked vs. manual components

  • Manual — you set the status yourself from the dashboard.

Reordering

Drag components up or down in the list to change their display order on the public page.

Visibility

Toggle a component's visibility to show or hide it from the public page without deleting it.

The right side of the designer shows a real-time preview of your status page. Changes to settings, theme, branding, or components appear instantly.

The preview also shows how:

  • Active incidents appear.
  • Past incidents display in the history.
  • Upcoming maintenance windows are listed.

Publishing

Click Save in the designer to publish your changes. Your status page is immediately available at:
