Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level organizational unit in isthisthing.online. Everything you create — monitors, incidents, status pages, integrations, and team members — lives inside a workspace.

How workspaces work

When you sign up, a personal workspace is automatically created for you. You can create additional workspaces for different teams, projects, or clients.

Each workspace has:

  • Its own set of monitors
  • Its own incidents and status pages
  • Its own team members and roles
  • Its own integration configurations
  • Its own billing plan and subscription

Workspace slug

Each workspace gets a unique slug — a URL-friendly identifier used in:

  • Dashboard URLs: https://app.isthisthing.online/{workspace-slug}/dashboard
  • Status page URLs: https://statuspage.isthisthing.online/{workspace-slug}/{page-slug}

Choose something short and descriptive like acme-corp or my-saas.

Creating a workspace

  1. Click your workspace name in the top-left dropdown.
  2. Select Create Workspace.
  3. Enter a name and a slug.
  4. Click Create.

You can switch between workspaces at any time using the same dropdown.

Workspace roles

Each member in a workspace has one of four roles:

RolePermissions
OwnerFull control. Can delete the workspace, transfer ownership, manage billing.
AdminCan manage members, monitors, status pages, integrations, and settings.
MemberCan create and manage monitors, incidents, and status pages.
ViewerRead-only access to the dashboard, incidents, and status pages.

Only the Owner can delete the workspace or transfer ownership to another member.

Workspace limits

Your workspace has limits based on your plan:

ResourceFreeStarterProEnterprise
Monitors51550Unlimited
Team seats1310Unlimited
Status pages1310Unlimited
Check interval3min1min30s15s

If you reach a limit, you'll see a warning in the dashboard. Upgrade your plan to increase limits.

Workspace lock

If your member count (including pending invitations) exceeds your plan limit, the workspace becomes locked. While locked, you cannot:

  • Create new monitors or status pages
  • Invite new members

To unlock: either remove members, revoke pending invitations, or upgrade your plan.

Deleting a workspace

Only the Owner can delete a workspace. This permanently removes all monitors, incidents, status pages, and data within that workspace. This action cannot be undone.

To delete:

  1. Go to Workspace Settings.
  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone.
  3. Click Delete Workspace and confirm.
